The annunciation to Mary
Gabriel was sent to Nazareth, and Mary heard that the child conceived in her by the Holy Spirit would reign on David's throne forever (Luke 1:32-35). Let it be to me according to your word, she answered.

And the virgin’s name was Mary. 28The angel appeared to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
