In the days of Caesar Augustus' registration, Jesus was born in Bethlehem, the city of David, and laid in a manger; angels announced good news of great joy to shepherds (Luke 2:7-11). 4 BC.

Immanuel in Isaiah and Matthew
Matthew says that Jesus' conception and birth fulfilled Isaiah's words about the virgin who would bear a son called Immanuel.
Isaiah 7:14
Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call Him Immanuel.
Isaiah 7:14 announces the sign, and Matthew 1:22-23 introduces the same words by saying that these events took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken through the prophet.
