Light shines out of darkness
Paul reaches back to God's command for light to shine out of darkness. He compares creation's light with God shining in human hearts.
2 Corinthians 4:6
For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
Genesis 1 records darkness over the earth and God's command, "Let there be light." Second Corinthians 4:6 identifies God as the One who told light to shine out of darkness, then says that He made His light shine in human hearts.

The enduring Creator in Psalm 102 and Hebrews
In its words about the Son, Hebrews quotes Psalm 102's declaration that the Lord made the heavens and earth and remains unchanged even as creation wears out.
Hebrews 1:10–12
And: “In the beginning, O Lord, You laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed; but You remain the same, and Your years will never end.”
Psalm 102:25-27 addresses the LORD as the One who laid earth's foundations and made the heavens, whose years never end; Hebrews 1:10-12 quotes those words within its series of statements about the Son.
