Jonathan makes a covenant with David

Jonathan loved David as himself and gave him his robe, armor, sword, bow, and belt as signs of covenant loyalty. David's success and the women's songs stirred Saul's jealousy, and Saul twice tried to pin David to the wall (1 Samuel 18:1-16).
