Emmaus, the appearances, and the great commission

Beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself (Luke 24:27), and on the mountain commissioned the eleven: make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19).

13That same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem. 14They were talking with each other about everything that had happened. 15And as they talked and deliberated, Jesus Himself came up and walked along with them.
