Ezekiel's riddle of the eagles and the cedar
A riddle about two eagles and a transplanted vine exposed Zedekiah's broken oath to Babylon and failed appeal to Egypt. God then promised to plant a tender cedar shoot on Israel's high mountain, where it would grow and shelter every kind of bird (Ezekiel 17:1-24).
