The Flood begins

In the 600th year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day, the fountains of the great deep burst forth and the windows of heaven were opened (Genesis 7:11). This is 1656 AM, 2348 BC. Genesis 5's arithmetic places Methuselah's death in this same year (Genesis 5:25-27).
