Jacob wrestles through the night at Penuel
Left alone at the Jabbok, Jacob wrestled with a man until daybreak. He received the name Israel and a blessing, and he called the place Penuel because he said he had seen God face to face and lived (Genesis 32:22-32).

22During the night Jacob got up and took his two wives, his two maidservants, and his eleven sons, and crossed the ford of the Jabbok. 23He took them and sent them across the stream, along with all his possessions. 24So Jacob was left all alone, and there a man wrestled with him until daybreak.
