Jehoiakim serves Babylon and then rebels

Jehoiakim did evil and became Nebuchadnezzar's servant for three years before rebelling. Raiding bands came against Judah as the LORD had spoken because of Manasseh's sins and the innocent blood shed in Jerusalem (2 Kings 23:36-24:7).

36Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eleven years. His mother’s name was Zebidah daughter of Pedaiah; she was from Rumah.
