Job responds, and the LORD corrects his friends
Job acknowledged that God's purposes cannot be thwarted, retracted his words, and repented in dust and ashes. The LORD rebuked Eliphaz and his two friends for not speaking accurately about Him, directed them to offer sacrifices, and accepted Job's prayer for them (Job 42:1-9).
