Covenant blessings and warnings declared

The LORD promised peace, fruitfulness, and His dwelling among Israel if they obeyed, but warned of escalating judgment and exile for persistent rebellion. Even in exile, He would remember His covenant (Leviticus 26:1-46).

God will dwell among His people

Paul uses God's promise to dwell and walk among His people. He applies those words to believers as the temple of the living God.

2 Corinthians 6:16

What agreement can exist between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people.”

Leviticus 26:11-12 says that God will dwell and walk among His people and be their God. Second Corinthians 6:16 repeats these promises after saying, "We are the temple of the living God."
