Moses intercedes for Israel after the golden calf

Moses returned to the LORD and pleaded for Israel's forgiveness, even offering to be blotted from God's book. The LORD announced judgment yet continued to direct the people toward the promised land, and Israel mourned (Exodus 32:30-33:6).
