The people confess and seal the covenant

Israel gathered in fasting and sackcloth, heard the Law, confessed sin, and worshiped. A long prayer traced God's faithfulness from creation through exile, and leaders sealed a covenant to obey the Law, guard marriage, Sabbath, offerings, tithes, and the service of God's house (Nehemiah 9:1-10:39).
