The feast of Purim established

Mordecai and Esther established the fourteenth and fifteenth of Adar as days of feasting, gladness, gifts to one another, and generosity to the poor. The name Purim remembered the lot Haman had cast, while Mordecai rose to greatness and sought the good of his people (Esther 9:20-10:3).
