The Rechabites remain faithful to their father's command
Jeremiah brought the Rechabites into a temple chamber and offered them wine, but they refused because their ancestor Jonadab had commanded them not to drink it. Their obedience stood as a rebuke to Judah's refusal to hear God (Jeremiah 35:1-19).
