AD 33 · Life of Christ

The resurrection

On the first day of the week the tomb was empty: He is not here, for he has risen, as he said (Matthew 28:6; Luke 24:6). He appeared to Cephas, to the twelve, and to more than five hundred at once (1 Corinthians 15:5-6). AD 33.

📖 Matthew 28:1–3

1After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. 2Suddenly there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, rolled away the stone, and sat on it. 3His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.
