The Sabbath year and Jubilee proclaimed

Israel was commanded to give the land a Sabbath every seventh year and to proclaim liberty in the fiftieth year. Property would return, families would regain their inheritance, and Israelites were not to be treated as slaves (Leviticus 25:1-55).
