Solomon's proverbs and songs
God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding beyond measure. He spoke three thousand proverbs, his songs numbered a thousand and five, and people came from every nation to hear his wisdom (1 Kings 4:29-34). Proverbs and the Song of Songs bear Solomon's name, while Ecclesiastes opens with the words of the son of David, king in Jerusalem.

📖 1 Kings 4:29–31
29And God gave Solomon wisdom, exceedingly deep insight, and understanding beyond measure, like the sand on the seashore. 30Solomon’s wisdom was greater than that of all the men of the East, greater than all the wisdom of Egypt. 31He was wiser than all men—wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, and wiser than Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread throughout the surrounding nations.

Quotation
The Lord's discipline of His children
Hebrews quotes Proverbs' fatherly counsel about the Lord's discipline and urges believers to endure it as children received by God.
Hebrews 12:5–7
And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not take lightly the discipline of the Lord, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you. For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises every son He receives.” Endure suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?
Proverbs 3:11-12 tells a son not to reject the LORD's discipline because He disciplines the one He loves; Hebrews 12:5-11 quotes that counsel and explains discipline as God's treatment of His children.
