The parable of the ten virgins
Jesus compared the kingdom to ten virgins awaiting a bridegroom. Five brought extra oil and were ready when he arrived, while five were unprepared and found the door shut; Jesus concluded by calling His hearers to keep watch (Matthew 25:1-13).
