The parable of the wedding banquet
Jesus compared the kingdom to a king whose invited guests rejected his son's wedding banquet and mistreated the messengers. Others were gathered from the roads, yet one guest without wedding clothes was removed, for many are called but few chosen (Matthew 22:1-14).
