Jesus warns the scribes and Pharisees
Jesus warned the crowds and disciples not to imitate leaders who taught without practicing what they preached. He pronounced woes against hypocrisy and neglect of justice, mercy, and faithfulness, then lamented over Jerusalem's unwillingness to receive those sent to her (Matthew 23:1-39).
